Work Days: Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, occasional weekends for Trade Shows

AREAWARE seeks a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills to join the Sales department. The qualified candidate must be able to prioritize and manage many projects on a daily and/or weekly basis, establishing clear and effective communication about those projects both in-house and with accounts. This role contributes to the success of our Sales team by handling inbound sales inquiries, creating and disseminating sales and marketing materials, generating weekly reports, and acting as a point of contact for rep groups, independent stores, key accounts, eCommerce customers, international distributors, and new business partners. Strong candidates possess keen attention to detail and strong communication/collaboration skills along with proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Handle inbound sales inquiries for new and existing accounts.
-Support in outgoing mailings and materials associated with business appointments, meetings, and customer needs.
-Act as the point-person for customers in the event that the account manager or representative is not available.
-Run weekly reporting for Sales team and select key accounts.
-Support key accounts with new vendor paperwork, samples, item setup, and inventory tracking.
-Gather samples and prepare presentations for key account product previews or business reviews.
-Attend and participate in sales and marketing meetings and trade shows as needed.
-Research new business leads across retail channels for domestic sales growth.
-Execute targeted mailings for promotion to specific market channels and product categories overseeing the creation of sell sheets, e-blasts, and other selling tools.
-Sales management responsibility for minor territories to be considered based on performance including but not limited to: regional chains, domestic wholesalers, internet accounts, and catalogs.
-Bachelor’s Degree and suggested two years of experience in sales support. Previous account ownership and knowledge of CRM systems is a bonus.
-Strong organizational skills, flexible attitude, attention to detail, aptitude for working with many people, and ability to deal with a rapidly shifting workload.
-Proactive, professional, positive attitude, and the diplomatic ability to work collaboratively.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
