About the Designer
Object & Totem began in 2011 as an independent ceramic studio producing wheel thrown jewelry and tableware. Since then it has evolved with inspiration from Bauhaus design, optical Art, vintage artifacts and everyday objects. Currently based in Brooklyn, the studio produces one of a kind vases, limited edition vessels, and small sculptures for both functional and decorative use.
Julianne Ahn graduated from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 with a B.F.A. in Textile Design and in 2007 with an M.F.A. in Fiber & Material Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was introduced to ceramics by taking a class at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and has since maintained her studio through retail and select wholesale production in addition to private commissions.
