Margot DeMarco
Margot DeMarco was born in 1986, raised in Seattle, Washington and now lives and works in New York City. Margot has been an Artist since early childhood, cutting her teeth working on community art events, parades and performances organized by her family and friends in Seattle. Her work now spans many mediums, from product and furniture design to filmmaking, sculpture, writing, digital image and net.art. Though her interests are varied, her body of work contains a consistent thread of critical irreverence—observing the world as it is, pulling from it, and suggesting how it might be different. Pinch Clip
Pinch it closed with these three-dimensional digits—an extra hand for pinching, clipping and holding just about anything in place. Each clip is fitted with a custom-engineered, extra-strength spring mechanism. The pieces are hand carved from basswood and painted to resemble a drawing come to life. Variations are normal due to the handmade nature of this object.
