Design Milk: Solitaire Computer Game Playing Cards IRL
"Back in 1990, designer Susan Kare worked on the original pixel art for the on-screen cards for Microsoft’s beloved Windows 3.0 Solitaire game. She used an IBM PC, Microsoft Paint, and the typical 16 VGA color palette available at that time, which resulted in a very basic pattern and the classic card deck-inspired design we came to know and love during lunch breaks and office down time… For the game’s 25th anniversary, Areaware worked with Susan to release a real live card deck using her iconic design. Now, you can procrastinate and pass the time by playing the online version of the offline game of Solitaire IRL. Meta"
