LikeMindedObjects is the creative studio of artist designer Elise McMahon. LMO creates furniture, interiors and home goods in a contemporary joyful aesthetic with a resourceful design eye looking to materials and technologies that respect communities and environments. She sees each object as holding a complex story of social and material culture from creation to disposal. Her work in Art, Design, Research and Education has resulted in international projects and diverse press coverage.

Elise trained in Furniture Design at Rhode Island School of Design & Industrial Design at Parsons School of Design. She has created spaces, exhibitions and objects for such clients/institutions as Entrance Gallery NYC, Artsy, BlueLand, Eckhaus Latta at Dover Street Market, the LA Philharmonic, the Kokrobitey Institute and Accra Ghana’s Museum of Science & Industry. LikeMindedObjects has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, Bon Appetit, Sight Unseen, Vogue, and Architectural Digest.
