He is the president of his eponymous design studio, Josh Owen LLC, and is the Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design and Director of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies at The Rochester Institute of Technology.

Virginia native Pat Kim graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in 2009. After completing an internship with Fisher-Price and working for a high-end furniture designer/fabricator, he set up his own studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
